Moving Mountains

Hi Everyone!

Well, it took us a little bit of time to wrap our brains around all that had to be done to get Andrew home! In any case, we are determined to get our son home even if we do have to move a few mountains! We know we aren't the first parents to face a few challenges and we know Andrew is so worth all the effort.

At this time we don't have things finalized, but we sure have folks working on both sides of the world. Our orphanage in Taiwan is working on a passport solution. We hope to hear today of a specific plan today on how to get this issue resoloved. On our side of the world, we (mainly Bill) have been working with the National Visa Center to get our immigration papers to Taiwan. After 4 days of calling, we finally got to a live person yesterday. That is a victory all by itself. It was confirmed that our papers were received by the National Visa Center and we should know by Friday on their status. We hope that the NVC will get everything over to Taiwan in a timely manner. We've also contacted our Congressman just in case. They are more than willing to help us if need be.

So, nothing is concrete except we know that Andrew is ours, our AIT (Taiwanese version of the Consulate) is July 3rd and we all should be home around the 4th or 5th. Untill then, we will continue to work getting these moutains moved!
